The night that the Shropshire's invited us over for a going away party for Jeff Shropshire, Bruce Crask, and David Maravilla was a memory that I will never forget. They were heading to their first year at Florida College and were flying to Tampa the next morning. Playing music, as the three of them had done for some time, supplied the intertainment. Everyone was having a good time until the last song. They began to play and sing, "Leaving On A Jet Plane", and the mothers could not stop their tears. After all, this was the first of our children to leave the nest. We all survied. |
